Angora goats are an old breed that originated in Asia Minor during biblical times. Angora coats have special fleece called "mohair" which cacn grow about an inch a month. This mohair coat is usually shorn twice a year, which is about 10 to 20 pounds yearly of goat fleece! Nigerian Dwarf Goats
The Nigerian Dwarf is a miniature goat that originates from West Africa, being roughly 50 to 80 pounds. They make great companions and are raised for their sweet and rich butterfat milk. The doe can produce up to two quarts a day with butterfat 6-7% higher than other milking goat breeds. Because of their size and disposition, Dwarf goats are playful and loveable which make them great for kids, families, and as therapy pets.
